It's Contest Time!

Listen up all cooks, it’s your turn to have the spotlight!  Do you have a favorite everyday recipe that you wish to share?  Well now you can! Submit your favorite recipe for your very own post!  Once the winner is chosen at random, we will test your dish and let you give as much or as little input as you wish.
You could cook with us, or cook it yourself and write your very own post.  Your choice! Now get to sharing your favorite recipes! Just comment on this post or on facebook and the winner will be chosen on September 15th.

  2. I have a favorite recipe! It is my Dad's cream cheese chicken! It is more than amazing and makes me think of happiness and wonderful things every time I have it. I would love to make it for you ladies or have you guys make it for me! ;)

    Cream Cheese Chicken
    6 boneless chicken breast
    2 c. bread crumbs - Italian
    1 c. Bisquick
    1 c. water
    1 box of cream chesse
    2 tbs sweet basil
    1/2 cup olive oil
    Oven to 350. Butterfly and flatten breast. Mix cream cheese with basil. Put mixture between flattned breast and fold together. Mix Bisquick with water. Dip chicken in mixture and then bread crumbs twice. Heat oil and brown chicken. Place in oven and bake for 25-30 mins.

  3. Skillet Lasagna

    This is so yummy!!!
    1 pound ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 clove minced garlic
    1 1/2 cups diced tomatoes, un-drained
    1 1/4 cups water
    1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
    1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
    1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
    1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 1/2 cups bow tie pasta, uncooked
    1 cup cottage cheese, drained
    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    Dash basil, pepper

    In large skillet, brown beef with onions and garlic; drain. Add tomatoes, water, tomato sauce, parsley, basil, oregano, and salt. Mix well. Stir in uncooked pasta. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; cover, simmer for 20 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring once. Stir in cottage cheese. Cover with and Parmesan cheese, and sprinkle in basil and pepper to taste if desired. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
